Chef Vacancy

We’re looking to add a Chef to our kitchen team at WEST on the Green, a high-volume beerhall, beer garden, restaurant and events space, located in the iconic Templeton Building on Glasgow Green.

Our kitchen serves a German influenced menu alongside traditional pub fayre and seasonal specials. We supply the event space with buffet and wedding offerings with a focus on delivering quality at volume.The role suits someone who has experience in a similar environment or someone who has come from a high volume pub/restaurant background.Responsibilities include

  • Work alongside the kitchen team to prepare and deliver the existing menu
  • Maintain high-quality food standards by using proper food handling techniques and by following approved recipes and procedures.
  • Assist in ensuring that the department complies with all statutory and legal requirements, including fire, Health and Safety & Food Safety
  • General cleaning duties – ensuring your section is well maintained and cleaned down at the end of the shift
