HOW WEDDING TASTINGS WORK AT WEST

AUGUST 2026

One of the most exciting parts of
wedding planning is, without a doubt, your wedding tasting! It’s your chance tosample our food and drink and try the food that you’ll be eating on your wedding day.

Here’s a little guide to how our wedding tastings work and how to make the most of the experience.

When should you book?

We recommend booking your tasting
no later than 5 months prior to your Wedding date. This timing gives you plenty of space to finalise your menu, send choices out to your guests, and gather their responses.

If you’d like your menu options to be included with your wedding invitations, you’re very welcome to book your tasting earlier.

Once you’ve chosen your dishes, you can send the menu to your guests so they can select their preferences. We’ll then ask you to collate these choices in our spreadsheet, along with
table numbers, to help us prepare everything seamlessly.

Choosing your Menu
For your tasting, you’ll select:

2 x Starters

2 x Mains

2 x Desserts

These should be the dishes you
are planning to serve to your guests on your wedding day. Your tasting is your
opportunity to experience your chosen menu exactly as it will be served,
ensuring you are completely happy and confident in your selections.

Rather than narrowing options down, this is about confirming your final choices, tasting the flavours, reviewing presentation and making sure everything feels just right for your day.

Our team will be on hand throughout to answer any questions and discuss your preferences with any small adjustments if needed.

Beer Flights
Beer Flights are a great way to sample our beer range and help you decide which four taps you’d like available in the Courtyard on your wedding day.

Each beer flight includes four thirds of our beer, allowing you to explore different styles and flavours. On the night, simply ask the team serving you for their recommendations, they’ll be more than happy to guide you.

Want some extra opinions?
You’re more than welcome to invite parents, close family members, or your bridal party and turn your tasting into a relaxed and sociable evening. It can be a lovely way to involve your nearest and dearest and build excitement for the big day.

That said, a gentle word of advice: too many opinions can sometimes make decisions harder. If you feel more comfortable choosing as a couple, that’s absolutely okay too, trust your instincts and your taste buds!

Final Thoughts
Your wedding tasing should be enjoyable, relaxed and fun, not stressful. There are no right or wrong choices, only what feels right for you. Come hungry, take notes if helpful and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

We can’t wait to welcome you in and create your perfect menu! If you’re wanting to get booked in, please email and ask for the upcoming Wedding menu tasting dates.
